Wanted: New Homes for Whitey & Ah Boy

Hi everyone

Yes, it's been a while. Too long a while and perhaps some of you even thought we're no longer around!

Guess what? Woofy's Corner is still in business! And we'd like to thank you for all your support and we look forward to making many more new friends soon.

Anyway, we're currently trying to find new homes for two of our canine buddies Whitey and Ah Boy.

Characteristics: Spunky, playful and lively

Angel

Save the Animals

Hi everyone

There's been a rise in pet abandonment over the recent months and just several weeks back, we found 2 dogs wandering outside our shop separately: a Jack Russell Terrier and a Rough Collie.

We housed the 2 dogs temporarily and put up "LOST" posters in the vicinity, hoping that their owners would turn up to reclaim them. No-one showed up.

That's when it dawned unto us that our new friends had been abandoned. Unfortunately, we couldn't house them on a long term basis so after staying with us for over a week, Boss sent them both to the SPCA with the hope that they'd be reunited with their owners or be re-homed.

According to the SPCA, many of the animals would have to be put down if they're not adopted within a specific time-frame, especially if they're "middle-aged" i.e. 6-years-old onwards. It's no wonder Boss was upset when he returned.

One way we can help is to become a member of the SPCA, a non-profit animal welfare organisation which seeks to promote kindness and to prevent cruelty to animals.

Remember, a little goes a long way.

And your contribution could just save the life of another living being.

Lovely Layla

Here's a photo of our very last puppy, Lovely Layla.

The picture was just taken during the weekend. She's currently 2 months old. (D.O.B. 23 May 2009)

Layla is a mild-tempered, peace-loving, sweet and gentle dog.

When all the six puppies were together, and a fight broke out (usually started by her brothers with the main culprit being Winsome Whiskey), Layla would pad quietly off to a corner, lie down and ignore the scuffles.

Yes, she's definitely a lover, not a fighter!

Layla's the perfect puppy for a family who's looking for a non-aggressive, loyal companion and pet. She's also familiar with young children too, since the Boss has three girls aged 7,4,1 respectively.

Although we'll be sad to see Layla go, we do want her to find her a good home with a responsible owner who'll attend to her needs and take good care of her.

So if Layla fits your ideal description of a pet, don't hesitate to give Vincent a tinkle at 96832469!

Only 2 puppies left!

We've only got two more German Shepherd puppies left for sale!

The remaining boys, Jovial Jackson and Mighty Mikey have already found new homes. That leaves us with our darling girls, Mesmerising Megan and Lovely Layla.

This I can promise: once you set eyes on the adorable puppies, you'll fall in love with them. Poor M'am (the wifey of the Boss) is truly sad to let them go - she'd love to just keep them all if she could! Every time one of the puppies leaves, she gets all emotional and cries! :'(

Unfortunately, according to Singapore's AVA law, each household can only keep a maximum of three dogs and they already have 2 full grown German Shepherds.

Anyway, it's best to come down and view the puppies personally and choose one suitable for your family's needs. Our boss will be able to advise you accordingly. After all, he's spent 2 whole months with all the puppies, so he's knows their characters, temperaments and habits full well. :)

The adorable pups belong to our boss and he's really taking good care of them. Unfortunately, he can't keep all of them so he's trying to find them good homes and responsible owners who'd be able to love them dearly and take care of them.
